Camp O' Fun
It’s been a busy few weeks since I last appeared in your inbox. It was an unplanned vacation from my studio and actually a much needed break. The news of everything going on has made me feel pretty numb, but it’s summer and I have a 10 year old who I want to be happy and enjoy this time in her life. So, I have been keeping busy with play dates, summer camps, lots of ice cream and too many trips to the Target that opened up on our corner. Just take all my money now, why don’t you?
I drew this sketch while waiting to pick up my kid and I made this tee as a homage to the one summer my mom sent me to Camp ‘O’ Fun back in my hometown. I just googled it and it still exists - 31 years later! (I wasn’t into it, by the way.)
I am putting together a podcast (or let’s just call it a spoken newsletter) next week and I wanted to see if you had any questions about illustrating, children’s books, teaching or just life in general? I’ll use your questions for part of the show - plus it’ll be fun to connect with you in this other way.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Drop a question in the comments for me!
